Shower

I’ve been so small lately I bet I could fit in

Stern water descending
Strong petite streams
My hands clasped
Creating a pool.
I wonder if I could jump in,
I’ve been so small lately
I bet I could fit in:
I hold my breath as I dive,
Falling in a straight line
Until the air all runs out.
I part my lips
Let the water in
And realise
I’ve been living in this state
Longer than I knew.
